The Kingoland Amusement park is a short drive too - it has various rides, play areas and attractions for ALL ages!
The medieval village of Poul Fetan is further down River Blavet but about 20 minutes by car, where there are demonstrations in traditional crafts by people dressed in the clothes of the medieval age.
Then there is the little "city of character" Josselin and its fantastic castle - parts open to the public.
There are many festivals and fairs held in this medieval city.
There are several beautiful sandy beaches about 30-40 minutes south like this one at Erdeven

We just got back from our week in Brittany and I must say the gite we stayed in was fabulous and the hosts were also fantastic, our girls loved every minute of our stay and it made a pleasant change from the first part of our holiday in Euro Disney. In fact we all loved the second week in Brittany more than the first week and given my daughters are 7 and 8, this surprised us. I would recommend the property to anyone and have already done so with family and friends. AC, Northants
We have now returned from our trip to Brittany and what an experience it was, firstly the cottage was just fantastic and the owners where a delight to speak to they made us feel most welcome, secondly thank you for your help with the booking - it is something that we will be doing again next year. DW, W.Sussex
After over 50 years of holidaying in France, because of our advanced joint age of 170 years – we fear this is our last time. We are sad about this but our visit to St Barts has helped to soften the blow. The owners really looked after us well and made us so welcome. The cottage and pool are by far the best we have experience and the surrounding area is so peaceful and quiet. It’s a shame that we had not known about this earlier as we would most certainly made several more visits. DWG, Surrey
Our first time in France and we were a little apprehensive! The girls spent a lot of time in the great pool and we'd like to thank our wonderful hosts who made us feel most welcome in their magnificent house....we would LOVE to to come back: JB, Lancs
This was our second visit to the region and we were even more impressed this time. The cottage was great and quiet too, and a great base for many fab activities, like kayaking, body boarding and cycling. The pool was marvellous and there was plenty of room to play football and we had endless table tennis matches! Young Family, Derby
