Large stone cottage at Menéac near Josselin with private heated swimming pool
Sleeping 8-10 Charming modernised period cottage with exposed beams in small hamlet with large garden and private swimming pool suitable for families.
Looking at the picture you'd think it shows two houses, but they are in fact one large one. It is spacious and light, and thoughtfully furnished and equipped.
Down stairs there are two large rooms. The kitchen/diner is equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, dish washer, washing machine, cooking equipment and utensils as well as all cutlery, crockery and glasses. There is a large table seating 10 people comfortably along with a wood burning stove for use later in the season.
The lounge is large and comfortable, again with a wood burning stove for the chillier months. For entertainment there is a cd/cassette player, games and a selection of books, and also free to air satellite TV giving the BBC and ITV channels.
Upstairs you will find four fully equipped bed rooms. Two large double rooms, one twin and one room with two singles and a set of bunks. Each room is equipped with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Quilts are provided but bed linen can be hired at 10€ per person (or bring your own). A cot and stair gates are available. One shower room with toilet is located down stairs with a further two upstairs.
The garden is semi shaded with some lovely trees, a small copse and is fully fenced. The patio area is close to the house with plenty of garden furniture and a barbeque. The 8m x 4m private, heated swimming pool is fully fenced and between 1m and 1.5 m deep. For those more active 4 mountain bikes are available along with a box of outside games equipment. The photo does not do the pool area justice because of the security fencing.
Private heated Pool 8x4 m and spacious enclosed garden
From the house it is an easy 20 minutes drive to the medieval town of Josselin or Ploermel and the Lac au Duc where you can spend time sailing or relaxing on the beach area. If you wish to travel slightly further it is only 45 minutes to Vannes which is at the head of the gulf of Morbihan. Barely 5 minutes away is the village of Ménéac which has local bars and shops.
