Le Pouldu

Large Seaside House in Le Pouldu (Friday Change) Sleeps 8 Welcome to this seaside house within a few minutes walk of the beaches at Le Pouldu, west of Lorient and close to restaurants, shops and many various activities. The lounge has double doors on to the balcony which is upstairs and offers you satellite TV with DVD and video player.  Two three-seater sofas and a further 2/3 seater sofa-bed.  The large kitchen/dining room has full cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher (washing machine in garage), microwave, pine dresser and large extending table, with ample seating for eight. The house is on 3 levels: Ground Floor (basement): one double bedroom, shower room with WC.  This has access from the main house and also from the outside driveway. First Floor: (as per description above)  Lounge, dining, kitchen, one double bedroom and one twin room.  Shower room with separate WC Second Floor: one double bedroom, and bathroom with shower over bath and WC.     Cot is available for a baby. Sea views from the house and the Ile de Groix is clearly visible (and also worth a visit!) Bed linen is included but there are no towels nor kitchen linen available. If you wish to bring your own bed linen, do let us know as we will reduce the rent accordingly. Outside the enclosed garden has garden furniture, sun loungers, parasol, garden trolley, BBQ, mosaic garden table, large table and eight chairs. Location There are a number of restaurants within walking distance, and some local bars, one which is just at the end of the road. Very close by there is plenty of water based activities, like swimming and fishing and many people partake in body and kite surfing on the large beaches.  Bikes can be hired locally.  In the local area there are plenty of things to keep you amused: walks along the River Laita, relax on the sany beaches, horse riding, kayaking, fishing, golf or visits to the art centre in Pont Aven with it's many private galleries, or walk around the historic town of Cancarneau with its famous citadel or shopping in the narrow streets of Quimper, or the marvellous zoo at Pont Scorff - all a short drive from the house.  Tennis courts, 15 minute's walk and golf galore, the nearest is the links course at Guidel Plage. Le Pouldu offers excellent beaches and cliff and estuary walks.   Beaches - The Port - Down the road from the house: good for walking and sun bathing but as it is the estuary not suitable for swimming.  Between the Port and Le Pouldu there are two further beaches, they are small but again good for sunbathing and investigating rock pools. Grands Sable is near the Tourist office good for swimming and sun bathing.  Plage de Bellanganet is 300 metres further away from the Tourist office which is good for swimming and sun bathing.  Plage du Kerou  is further along the sea front and towards Clohars Carnoet is an excellent beach good for surfing, swimming, sunbathing, rockpools etc.     Quimper, Le Pouldu town, Pont Aven, Le Pouldu port and beach The house was perfect for our stay and we had a thoroughly good week - thank you.
