La Chaumier - near Ploerdut - sleeps 7
Le Chaumier is one of five cottages which in total can accommodate up to 30 people, plus babies. They are in the most idyllic of settings. They are situated at the end of a very quiet lane, south-facing, and with a 180 degree uninterrupted panorama of rolling fields and woodland. These beautiful mellow stone buildings were built over the course of several centuries. The earliest buildings still existing date back over 300 years and have been tastefully renovated to the highest standards, so you can enjoy a peaceful relaxing holiday “away from the madding crowds”.
Chaumiere is detached and stands in its own large area of garden. Originally a barn, it has been renovated to a high standard with exposed stonework, oak beams, and exposed roof frames.
There are two king size bedrooms on the first floor, and a twin bedded room on the ground floor.
Open plan lounge/living area/kitchenette (fridge/freezer, washing machine, Cooker, mocrowave, taster etc) wood-burning stove, satellite TV, DVD & WiFi. Utility room with washing machine
There is a large in-ground heated swimming pool, 9 meters x 4.5 metres x a constant 1.2m depth, with toddler safety alarm.
They also have four acres of grounds and woodland where children can relive the sort of childhood us older members of society can recall. We hope you find a property that suits your needs.
The terraced area is very secluded and shady, and you can sit outside under the verandah and have a glass of wine, even if it’s raining, which is quite a nice experience! Walking out from the terrace leads you onto a large area of lawn exclusive to the cottage, suitable for a game of football, cricket, badminton, swing-ball etc.
Electricity & gas are included; heating is extra if required. Bed & kitchen linen is included. You will need to supply your own personal and pool towels.
