Jeanne Cottage - sleeps 4 - between Guingamp & Saint Brieuc, Northern Brittany

Set in beautiful grounds beside the family farm in a small hamlet between Guingamp & Saint Brieuc in Northern Brittany, Jean Cottage is decorated in the style and atmosphere of an old school house, but equipped with contemporary furniture and fittings for increased comfort. Jean is a charming and stylish stone and red brick cottage ideal for a couple or a family. Natural and recuperated products have been used as much as possible to creat a cosy, comfortable and original style which invites you to sit down, relax and enjoy your stay.

                 
Ground floor: The open plan kitchen is well equipped with a larger fridge freezer,  gas hob, extractor fan, oven, micro-wave,  filter coffee machine,  Nespresso coffee machine, kettle & dishwasher. 

Comfortable sitting room with a large sofa, flat screen TV and unlimited WIFI connection. 

Wood burning stove in the sitting room and wood provided.

Washroom with large Italian shower and toilet.

Bedroom 1 : with with 2 single beds (90 x 190cm).
                   
On the first floor : 1 bedroom with a king-size bed (160 x 200cm) .                 

Children are very welcome to our cottage.  There is baby equipment available, namely ; a travel cot and matress, high chair, baby bath & changing mat. There is a play area with a slide and chateau fort. Extra toys and games can be provided and baby sitting can be arrange upon request too.

Heating : This cottage is heated by an ecological  central heating system which is fed by a wood burner. The wood comes from our farm and the surrounding valley.

The garden is a private garden and terrace (300m²).  Garden furniture, sun umbrella, barbecue   & 2 deckchairs.

Extra Facilities: Shared washing machines and clothes dryers.  Bikes to rent. Brochures, maps and ideas of things to do, books, magazines in many languages at your disposal. Games for children. There is nothing to bring, everything is ready for you : towels, kitchen towels, sheets. Beds are made on arrival.   Included in your stay: If your stay is longer than 7 days, bed linen, towels and tea towels are changed every week. There is no cleaning fee. Small library with a selection of books and magazines in French and English. Unlimited Wi-Fi. Baby equipment. Play area for children. Laundry area.

AREA

Just 3 km away from the cottage, is the The Farm-Inn  - a restaurant run by the owner's family, which is called 'Le Char a Bancs'.  You can taste the famous 'potée' or 'pot au feu' made with pork and vegetables from the farm, the delicious sweet and savoury pancakes, Louise's homemade desserts, Corentin's cider, homemade apple juice, jam, honey...the list goes on.  

There are  pony rides for children and all sorts of swings, slides, castles, pedal boats and games...  not to mention the the cows, horses, pigs, hens, ducks, walks, gardens etc.  The restaurant is open everyday except Tuesdays in July & August. From April to September, it is open on Friday night, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. The rest of the year it is open on Friday nights and for Sunday lunch.

There are beaches, the closest of which is a short ten minute drive.  There is a beautiful marina at Binic; Trégomeur Zoo; Saint Brieuc Bay, beautiful beaches at Poluha, Erguy, Perros Guirec and Dinan and Dinard are really worth exploring.  So much to do you will need to return to see it all!
