Town house in the centre of Gouarec

Right in the heart of Gouarec, between Rostrenen and Mur de Bretagne, this sympathetically renovated house is very close to Lac de Guerledan and is only 2 minutes’ walk to the Nantes/Brest canal. The village is very quaint and has some lovely old buildings in it, as it is in the historical area; the street has to be kept as it was years ago.

The kitchen has a table and four chairs, fridge under work-top, cooker, microwave, coffee machine, and sideboard with cutlery, crockery, electric mixer and weighing scales. A tall leaded light cupboard for glasses, and space under to store groceries etc. There is a Raeburn wood-burner, but there are electric radiators in every room, There’s a stereo music player with speakers on sideboard.

In the lounge, there are two armchairs as well as a sofa which converts to a double bed so the house could easily sleep four. There is a DVD player, TV and a choice of DVDs.

The bathroom has a shower over bath, toilet and wash basin. Upstairs is a double bedroom under the eaves, almost like a mezzanine, with rocking chair, bedside tables with lamps, dressing table, hair dryer, cupboard and a hanging area for clothes. This is a lovely light room which has two velux windows.
Outside in the sun-trapped courtyard, there is a garden table and chairs, a barbecue, a cupboard that houses washing machine and two sun loungers.
The village has three bars, three eating places, one of which is a pizzerria, opposite the house, a boulangeries just a short walk away, a little supermarket and a little English shop.

Just at the end of the village you cross a bridge over the canal with cycle paths in either direction and there you will find a place to hire bicycles.

Lake de Guerledan and its sandy beaches offers everything the sea can without the waves!
