Lovely Maison de Ma�tre near Coast nr Pont Aven

This ancient  Maison de Ma�tre (Master's House) is set in three and a half hectares of grounds including woodlands and is a brilliant place to explore.  There are dolmens (standing stones) to be discovered and and the remains of a Roman Fortified Tower in the grounds.  The house has recently been renovated to take into account its original features. Only a very short drive to the nearest beach.

The kitchen and dining room are together, the kitchen is brand new and cheerfully decorated in bright colours.  There is an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and dishwasher and in a little utility room you will find the washing machine.  The dining table seats six with comfort.

The lounge has a leather settee and two armchairs, and has a TV and DVD player. 

There are three bedrooms, two double rooms and family bathroom with shower over on the first floor and a twin room on the upper floor with a wash basin. Bed linen is provided, towels are not.

Outside there is a large private garden with garden furniture and BBQ.  You can also explore the extensive grounds and there are so many things to do and see, it would take a month to write about them, but the owner is enthusiastic about this area and will make sure you are not at a lose end, by leaving information for you to read.  He will also be around from time to time, if you need to consult with him.  There are huge trees, undergrowths to explore, and very rare species of rhododendrons which the owner's father was passionate about.  This is a old family estate, steeped in history.

Location

Only 10 minute's drive to the various beaches in this coastal region, you are near Concarneau, Pont Aven is 10 kms.  The nearest large town is Rosporden to the north, which is 5 kms away but in the village of Merlven you will find a boulangerie and and an eight to eight supermarket.
