How To Book

By now you will have made your shortlist of choices. We do keep our Brittany cottage availability up to date, so hopefully the first holiday home of your choice will be available.

Do you have any questions? Please feel free to email or phone – most emails during the day and evening are answered very quickly but of course this cannot always be the case! You must ensure that the property you have chosen meets your individual needs so please ask if you have any questions as we cannot make a refund to you if you decide the property isn't suitable when you arrive. 

All booking forms are bespoke and will be prepared and emailed to you to complete, as soon as possible; you cannot download one. So please email us with your request giving the name of the property, the date you wish to start and how long you want to stay. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN CASE EMAIL IS FAULTY....but please only request a booking form if you are ready to commit and complete the booking

Next, complete the holiday booking form; return it to us by email, arrange to send the 25% deposit + £25/30€ booking fee. Payment will either be by internet banking or cheque to our UK business account. Hopefully you will find our holiday booking service quick and efficient.

You will be asked to pay the full amount if your holiday starts within nine weeks along with the damages deposit. This damages (or security) deposit will be refunded to you electronically after the holiday ends and after you furnish us with your bank account details to enable this.

Most properties supply bed and kitchen linen within the price (please verify for yourself), but only a few supply personal towels.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Houses are visited by SBC initially and are not inspected annually; therefore the information given is as found on that initial visit. Any changes after that time are the responsibility of the owner to inform us. All recommendations made will be based on initial knowledge, and the renter should verify all facts before reserving a property if they have any special or specific needs by asking SBC to contact the owner to verify (eg. if Wifi is essential or if a guest has mobililty issues).

Please note that your rental contract will be with the individual property owner, with SBC acting as intermediary. As agents, SBC hold no legal responsibility for any of the houses on their website; renters accept this clause when returning the booking form.

The houses do not permit smoking inside and some offer a warm welcome to one dog, some free of charge and some with a nominal fee as marked on the property page; others do not permit animals for owner preference, health or safety reasons.

PAYMENT: We accept sterling and euros, at the bank exchange rate given by us when the payment falls due. 25% deposit required and balance due 9 weeks before holiday start date. Sterling: payment can be made by internet banking or cheque to our UK Lloyds business account (or by visiting your bank or any branch of our bank to make a debit card payment); there is a small handling charge made by the bank if paying by cash which you will have to bear. Euros: payment can be made by internet banking. Sorry we do not have debit/credit card facilities. due to the high charges.

For off-peak bookings, heating costs are NOT normally included in the rental, you should ascertain this before booking. Any charge for utilities will be charged at cost, as used and metered and paid locally. 

In some places, the local government ask for a tourist tax to be paid in peak summertime. This usually applies to adult visitors only and varies on where you are staying, but usually less than one euro per adult per day. This will be stated on each property page if applicable and advised to SBC.
