Maison de Chasseurs (Hunter's House) Between Baud & Camors
Private pool & Fishing Lake Sleeps 5
This rustic hunter's lodge is nestled in the countryside between the two good sized towns of Camors and Baud (closer to the latter). Here you have private pool (open June, July & August), gardens and fishing lake and wonderful views over the rolling hills.
It is a rambling house with basic kitchen, with microwave, fridge freezer, table top oven, four ring gas hob and butler type sink. It also has a table and benches. There is no dishwasher, but there is a washing machine in the utility room. Also downstairs there is a study with table and chair; dining room with large table and seating for six, and stairs off leading to the first floor; where you will find a family bathroom with bath and sink and separate toilet and one double bedroom. Then there is the large pine clad lounge area with open stone fireplace, TV, DVD and music centre. There is a leather settee and armchair, and a piano here too, and a further seating area with table and chairs.
Stairs again lead off the lounge to the other two bedrooms upstairs which consist of one single room and one double room, both with wardrobes.
click to enlarge Outside there is a private garden, fully enclosed with sturdy wooden gates, covered parking in a thatched barn, large fenced pool (open June - September, dependent on weather) with garden furniture and BBQ. There are ponies in the stable, which are not for riding, but do keep the grass down in the paddock. Access to the lake is by a small pathway, and you are welcome to fish or just walk around it. It is believed there are both carp and perch available. Cot and highchair are available. Bed linen is supplied but you will need your own towels. Pool only open July & August. We really enjoyed our stay in The Hunter's House, the children enjoyed the pool and the large garden and the views and countryside around were lovely. LP, London AREA The area is heavily forested, with Camors Forest not far from the house, so plenty of opportunity to ramble and explore. There is also the Camors Adventure Forest which is less than 1mile from the house, there you can explore the tree tops by climbing and sliding down death slides! From age 9 upwards, not for the faint hearted, I guess. Baud and Camors are good sized towns and are both in very easy reach and have bars, restaurants and the usual compliment of shops. Baud has two large supermarkets as well. Key Benefits
