The Cottage and The Lodge are set in their own hamlet down a long lane and away from the main road, Quelvéhin is a collection of old stone farm buildings comprising of the owner's farmhouse and the two cottages, nestling in over five hectares of pasture and woodland with a labyrinth of pathways right outside your door. It’s ideal for nature lovers, with deer, red squirrels, woodpeckers, rabbits and buzzards all regular visitors to the garden. It’s a haven for ramblers, or there’s off-road biking for the more energetic. Situated in an isolated and tranquil setting, peace and quiet are guaranteed, and yet it’s only three kilometres from the pretty village of Malguénac with its shop, boulangerie, bars and crêperie. The added attraction are these beautiful, gentle Alpaca. How cute are they?

There is a large paved south-facing terrace with outdoor dining furniture, BBQ and a petanque/boules piste under shady mature trees. Bed linen, ironing boards, irons and hairdryers are included, and laundry facilities available at main house if required. We also have a few bicycles you are welcome to borrow.

Five kilometres in the opposite direction takes you to Pontivy. A fine Napoleonic town built around the river Blavet and boasting many attractions including a château and many fine restaurants amongst the narrow streets of half-timbered buildings. There is also a superb outdoor swimming pool complex open during July and August.
Quelvéhin is approximately two hours drive from the port of Saint-Malo and 1 hour 40 minutes from Dinard airport (where hire cars can be obtained). Centrally situated within Brittany, you have access to all coastlines, the nearest being Larmor-Plage (45 mins), an excellent beach with seafront bars and restaurants. A multitude of others can be reached within the gulf of Morbihan all in around an hour. Closer to home you have many ‘Breton’ places of interest, such as museums and preserved working 18th century villages. The ‘Lac de Guerlédan’ is about 30 minutes away, a picturesque reservoir with beaches, swimming and water sports. If golf’s your thing, there is also an excellent 9-hole course at Bieuzy-les-eaux (about 20 minutes away).
