This architect designed wooden villa near the coast at Baden, is actually two houses together.  The large house has three spacious bedrooms (one double ensuite bathroom on the ground floor); and a further double and twin on the first floor; there is also a very comfortable bed settee on the vast mezzanine level second lounge.  There are two further twin rooms in the annexed house. Therefore the main house can sleep up to 8 in three bedrooms, plus mezzanine and the annex a further four. Therefore 12 in total.

There is a huge lounge space, which has tasteful contemporary furnishings and TV with DVD player.  There is a huge conservatory on two sides of the house, with  superb views over the garden and swimming pool area, which houses the dining area and further relaxing seating area.  The conservatory windows open up onto the decked terrace.  The pool is heated and measures approximately 4x7 metres.

Please note the pool is situated in an open courtyard and thereby not enclosed by fencing and although the cover is rigid and can be walked on, we would suggest this property is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.  You will be asked to sign a disclaimer when signing for acceptance of terms and conditions for renting this property.

There are three further toilets; one in the upstairs shower-room beside the twin bedroom; and one downstairs (in addition to the ensuite in the master bedroom); and one more in the annex.

The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and electric oven, gas hob and microwave.

The Annex house has two twin bedrooms upstairs with a toilet and sink between them; with a shower-room downstairs (thus sleeping four).  There is an open plan kitchen living area, which is comfortably furnished. The kitchen has a microwave/combination oven with two ring electric hob and fridge.  Two large French windows lead on to the patio. This configuration would be ideal for two families holidaying together, or for larger family groups with a few members who would like to be able to have their own sleeping space slightly apart from the rest.

The gardens are lovely - full of trees, flowers and shrubs and the house has views right down to the estuary and beyond.  The nearest town is Baden, which is about 3 kms from the house and has a great choice of wonderful restaurants and the usual complement of French village shops. There is an excellent 18 hole golf course, less than 1km - Golf de Baden 18 hole par 72 course (click for website). And within 3 kms, tennis courts in the village, many lovely walks, and Baden is the commune in France with the most coastal borders.  The medieval city of Vannes is only 15 minutes away, where you will find many buildings dating back to the 15th century and many cultural activities to enjoy.  There are many beautiful sandy beaches to choose from.  This is a popular area for boating too and you can hire boats on a daily basis at many nearby marinas.  You simply won't have enough time in two weeks to fully explore this area.

All linen (bed & kitchen) are included, but you will need to bring your own towels, or these can be hired from the caretaking service.
