Outside the gardens are landscaped and you will have private use of the main patio at the back of the owner's house, when they are not there (they spend summer away from the house pictured below). There is also a large meadow with a large pond in which you can fish for carp and roach, but this is fenced off for the safety of younger visitors.
Set in a tiny hamlet, next to woods and various wildlife, it offers peace and quiet, the house is only a 10 minute drive from Auray which has numerous restaurants and bars, and of course there are loads of beaches to choose from too. The medieval city of Vannes is 20 minute's drive and Lorient 30 minutes, so this offers a really central location to go exploring in every direction. St Cado (below) was named after a Welsh priest with a clever brain....when the bridge washed away in a huge storm, he made a deal with the devil who would replace it if St Cado gave the first soul to cross the new bridge to him; instead of sending a person, he sent a cat. So legend has it. Beautiful village and if you like seafood, then the restaurants and fish merchants here are worth your custom.
St Goustan port - plenty of restaurants and well worth a visit. Property only available in July & August. Two week bookings are given a bottle of good Champagne on arrival.
